Happy Friday! Yesterday was a holiday here in Hawaii - King Kamehameha Day. It was a beautiful day, but it was smokin' hot! The family took refuge in a local movie theater to see "Up". Okay, I'm going to vent a little now...I'm not giving out any details of the movie, but just to be safe if you don't want to hear about it go to the second paragraph. Alright, if I had known the plot before hand, I would have never seen the movie. Really? Really!!! It was way, WAY too deep for me. I don't care for movies that have sad undertones because I'm just too emotional. I guess you could say I have a very low emotional threshold. I feel like I was lied to by disney. LOL! No, maybe I don't actually feel like I was lied to but misled may be a better word. Honestly, I cried more in this movie than I did in Terms of Endearment or Steel Magnolias. And, yes, that's saying a LOT. I didn't leave the theater feeling good or exactly happy, instead I felt a little heavy. Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie. I just thought it was going to be "hahahahaha" for two hours, but instead it was "boo hoo hoo" the whole time. I know Disney usually has a poignant moment in their movies followed by an immediate upswing by way of comic relief, but in this movie it just coming and coming for some reason. Tears were literally streaming down my face, streaming! I had to use Teagan's little head as a Kleenex to wipe my tears. Thank God I couldn't get on my fake eyelashes before the movie. I just started using fake lashes here and there so I suck putting them on; it takes me about an hour to put on those darn things. I was so frustrated cause I couldn't get them on that morning, but I guess I was saved from fake eyelashes falling off here and there during the movie. Anyhoo, in all it boils down to the fact that I wasn't ready for an emotional movie so it hit me hard. And that's it. That's my venting. Thanks for listening. I'm NOT, not recommending the movie. I guess I'm just preparing you for a more emotional movie than what you may be expecting. On a lighter note, I just saw Snakes On A Plane the other day on television and it was way better than I expected, in fact, I really liked it. Okay, did the last statement just negate my whole paragraph and furthermore ruin what was left of my credibility? Probably, but if anything, I'm truthful.
Anyhoo, today's card is from All That Scraps. Isn't she enchanting? Junebugs by C.C. Designs. I love her little dress, just darling. The sentiment is from Amy R's Thank You Sentiment Set. I just love Amy's sentiment sets. There is always a variety in her fonts and a sentiment for every thank you need. I think the sentiment that I used is my favorite. "I would thank you from the bottom of my heart but for you my heart has no bottom." Ahhhh, so sweet!!! Hope you like the card.
By the way, I'm actually going to try and do a copic tutorial this coming week! OMGosh! Operative word, TRY. I have a new video camera and a new program to edit with so wish me luck. The tutorial will be on some Copic airbrushing techniques. ;) One technique I'll teach you is featured in this card on the sentiment and flower. Easy-peasy, I promise!
Copics used...
Supplies: Bazzill Chocolate Bling, White CS, Imaginisce - Fairest of Them All, Prima - Voila Felt Ribbon. Prima Flowers, Buttons, Silver Elastic Cord, Oval Punch, Silk Ribbon, Nestibilities, CuttleBug Embossing Folder.

I love this card- love your color choices. I will be very anxious to watch the Copic airbrush tutorials- just got an air compressor and look forward to learning about using it with the airbrush..........
Oh- Love your Blog!

As always your card is absolutely fabulous! Normally i would feel like i had absolutely no pointers for you... but you mentioned makeup. ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Just hearing about makeup makes me feel calm inside in this crazy crafting world. hahaha. False lashes... now are you letting the glue set a bit before you try to put them on? apply the adhesive, and then let it sit for 20 seconds or so. This helps it to become tacky and adhere better to your lid. If they still give you grief staying on.. try putting on some of the adhesive, letting it set for a minute or so and then apply another line of the glue and then let that set for 20 seconds. I know it seems like a lot of work but it will make them adhere better and longer. OH and never be afraid to trim the lashes. I dont mean the length of the "hair" i mean from inner edge to outer edge. Lashes are always made too long no matter where you buy them. I usually trim about 4 groupings of lashes off from the ends depending on the length of the person's eyelid. :)
Cant wait to see your copic videos! :)

Hi Jenn,
Gosh this has been a learning time for me. About a movie I thought I could take my grandchildren to - NOT if I am going to cry through it. I am also VERY emotional!
About eyelashes!! Great pointers!!
Your card is beautiful as all of your cards are!! Love the lace and really love the sentiment. I always learn something from you with you with every card.
Big Hugs, Candy

Hi Jenn,
I'm a Jen too! Anyway, I saw UP too and liked it but felt it was too heavy too. I thought I was the only one in the theater crying. My DH laughed at me.
Love your coloring! I'm very interested in the Copic air brush system but heard you need sketch markers (I only have caio)??
Thanks for sharing all your great creations...its inspirational!

Hi Jen, I'm looking forward to the copic tutorial. I'd like to see what they do before I buy. We took our 6 & 14 yr olds to see Up. Six year old thought it was the GREATEST movie she ever saw. She's seen three. What did your kids think of the movie?
